Our Day
Heritage Christian Primary & Prep will deliver the highest quality education by teaching the fundamentals through proven methods. Although there are benefits of technology, we choose to use a very traditional approach to education. The foundation of a quality education is helping a child develop a love of learning. We will do this by providing a healthy, safe, and fun learning environment - void of the pressures the modern world places on children/teens. Heritage Christian Primary & Prep has the freedom to allow teachers to teach and students to learn.
Curriculum
Through the Abeka curriculum, children are challenged at the highest level academically - while allowing to make adjustments for students who need more assistance - ensure every child develops and keeps a love for learning. With strong academics and a biblical perspective, our students will be prepared to make a difference in the world.
Safe and Orderly
To create the best learning environment, students will know they are secure in their school, the classroom will be orderly, and respect will be exercised on all levels. Our Security Guard will monitor our property and the people trying to enter, disruptive behavior is not tolerated in the classroom, and students and staff will develop a mutual respect as well as establish respect for authority in general.
Physical Education
At Heritage, Physical Education and Physical Movement is of the utmost importance. Each grade will have both, a physical education course and time of recess play. Each day starts with movement during our praise and worship time. Also, our teachers understand that physical movement should be incorporated into the classroom whenever possible.
Fine Arts
Art makes learning fun. Heritage teachers will incorporate music, art, and dance into our daily subjects, to help develop the child's love of learning. We will also offer specialty fine arts classes during the school year.
Real Food
A healthy meal fuels the energy needed for a full day of learning and movement. At Heritage, we will provide a delicious lunch made from real, delicious ingredients.
No Phones
Students work better when they can step away from the pressures of social media. The constant stream of information distracts the mind, even when the student is not aware. Hours free from technology allows the emotions to relax and the mind to learn.
